Heli setup guide

I've flown helis before just never setup the computer. I was wondering if someone could give the steps I should go through to complete my Raptor configurations on my radio.

Need to know what radio you are using...

I can't help you, but anyone who can will need to know what radio you are using. I use a Futaba 6xh and fly a Nexus Legato and need to know the same info.

Give a little more info to get the ball rolling...

What radio are you using?
What gyro are you using?

Heli setup guide

im using a Futaba 6Xh and for right now the gyro is a micro piezo from heli-max. I'm using HS-5645MG servos. I'm setting the raptor up for 3d. One of the main problems I am having is setting up the control arm with the servos. I'm unsure where the sticks should be when I mount the control arm.

I do not know that radio or gyro, but think I can help you basic questions.

Everyone sets up heli diffrently, so with that said, here is my R50 starting setup.

first off there is a 3D linkage guide in the raptor manual for refrence.

Set your transmiter collective stick to the middle and set your collective servo arm to be 90 degrees from the linkage. Now set your linkage so you will have your pitch at 0 degrees. There is a neat guide on the main frame to see this. This will give you equal and max throw in both + and - pitch ranges. Now adjust your radios atv setting so that you are getting full throws without binding the servo, this should give you about +11 to -11 degrees of pitch.

Basicly set you for/aft, and right left the same way. With the stick and servo at its netural position, set up you linkage to be equal in both dircetions on the servos.

This should give you a good base and ballance to start with.
