engine dies

Hi,
My O.S. .32 sx-h heli engine dies when I remove the glow igniter. If it doesn't die, it will once I begin to rev it up. I sometimes manage to keep it running and get a flight, but it seems to be acting up more frequently. I did change out the glo plug , but it didn't help. I run 15% heli fuel. Thanks for your insight, Paul.

Try adjusting the idle mix... The tiny screw on the other side. That did it for me.
I don't remember if it was rich or lean, but I had the exact same problem.

My motor was adjusted fine from the factory, until I ran about two gallons through it.
Then I needed this adjustment.

What glow plug are you using?

Your symptons are generally either a dodgy glow plug or the mixture is too rich.

I run an O.S. #8. If I lean it out a little; will I have to change the revo mix? Thanks, Paul.

What gyro are you running? Is it a head/tail lock gyro? You may already know this but if you have a locking gyro your do not need any revo mix.

Definitely sounds like your low end needle is to rich. Its located right inside hole in the center of the throttle arm. Turn it in about 1/4 turn and try again. If it improves but seems to still need some adjustment turn in more but in smaller increments.
