fly inverted!!!

HI,

l'm going to do something different with my heli, can anyone tell me which direction is reversed when the heli is inverted?
situtaion 1) nose pointing out
2) nose pointing in

are there any tricks will make it easier?

Thanks a lot

Tail In:

Collective, TR, Elevator are reversed. Aileron remains normal as in upright tail in

Nose In:

Collective, TR, Aileron are reversed. Elevator remains normal as in upright tail in

There are no real tricks, just lots of practise on the sim first.

Whether upright or inverted, the ailerons are not reversed. Upright/nose in - stick to the low blade. Inverted/nose in - stick to the low blade. Elevator get reversed. Upright/tail in - forward to move away. Inverted/nose in - forward to move away. T/R upright - fly the end farthest from you. T/R inverted - fly the end nearest to you. Collective inverted - just remember to pull down to go up! The main thing is lots of practice. I can hover inverted fairly well on the SIM, but not ready to try the real thing quite yet.

I highly recommend the SIM approach...My first crash was caused by trying to go inverted too soon. I lost my orientation and "pushed "UP" when I should've "pulled DOWN"[X(]...$175 dollars later I was back in the air and taking it sloooow again.

I've got the inverted hover down ... for about .40 seconds.:D

When you practice inverted (or any maneuver), start by working out a "bail out" and practice that first. My bail out for inverted hover is full negative pitch and nose down. This gets the heli climbing and does a half forward flip to right side up (don't forget to put positive pitch back in[X(]). On your first few attempts, hold it for just a second, then bail out. Then keep holding longer each time, but don't let it get too far out of shape before you bail. And like with everything else, gentle on the sticks!

Oh yeah, one other thing ... start high. :D
