Working on the figure eight thing, got to close to the ground .... got the heli faceing me and had a little trouble with the forward, backword thing. Oh well .. blades are toast, flybar, and little shaft connecting the blades. Pretty minor considering all the noise it made. I'll bring a dial indicator home from work tomorrow and check the main shaft.

I feel for ya. Been there done that.

Raptors are pretty tough so it's good that there isn't much damage.

Keep working on the orientation. Learning nose in and other orientations will go a long way toward improving your flying.

Looks like you had a mishap this weekend too, thinking maybe I will be flyin this "cheap" to repair Raptor for a long time.

Yeah, but, I don't think my mishap was quite as minor as yours.

It happens, event to the best of them. I almost picked up my "beater" Raptor for that flight but the one with the custom canopy was closer so I fueled it up.

It wasn't the first time and won't be the last either I'm sure. I'll rebuild it and have it in the air again in a week or so.

Believe me ... I truly know how minor mine was, I watched a friend's X-cell 60 pro graphite roll in from 30ft, after it hit, the throttle jammed and it proceeded to ad insult to injury by beating itself to death. All because of a PCM lockout. His ship looked pretty bad, was a little spendy to fix. Now he's spooked about flying it. We still haven't figured out why it locked up.

All because of a PCM lockout.
What exactaly led you to believe that it was a lockout? What were the failsafe limits set at on the helicopter? Just curious, I am a firm believer in PCM, and always curious when someone says that the crash was the fault of "PCM Lockout".

After the crash, he looked at me and said "I didn't to that". Now knowing his flying capability's, and what I saw, I believed him. He has been having glitches in the radio system since last summer. I think his failsafe is set to continue last command. Now I know very little about PCM. I don't own one, and have not been impressed with them so far.
