Trying to go brushless

Hello all. I'm trying to go brushless with my Dragonfly. Do i need to have both main motor and tail motor to be brushless or can i go with just the main motor? Also I have an E-Sky receiver and gyro/mixer. Will this be able to work with a brushless set up? If so, what would be the best way to set it up. I've heard that brushless is the best way to go. Thanks for any input.

RE: Trying to go brushless

I'm not familer with the Dragonfly to be honest, and I'm definately not an expert on electrics or micros... BUT... I'm pretty sure the mixer is set up for a brushed setup... You'll need an ESC for brushless... That means new ESC, new motor, new gyro (won't be built in with brushless ESC). Now here's the kicker... Keep in mind I CERTAINLY haven't researched this.. But I don't recall seeing any ESC's for brushless that HAD mixers.. (they were for a direct drive tail, not a dual motor setup)... I'm sure there is one out there... Just have to find it.. ;) Anyway, if that were the case, you'd probably have to go brushless for both... Honestly... If your going to go through all that... You'd probably be cheaper and you'd definately be BETTER OFF to just sell the dragonfly and move on to a better machine...
