Gasser engine module??

ecxel gasser it has a alum. module on the frame,wire to the ground and a wire to the coil..what is it and what does it do.thanks gregg in ohio

Gasser engine module??

Its an external ignition module for the engine. Probably an old version of the engine. For the last several years, that has been incorporated into the module on the engine itself.
