Helihobby lost me...
 
Anyone else have problems ordering stuff from Helihobby? I've ordered twice from them in the last two weeks and both times I either didn't get the part that I ordered or it didn't come as described on the website. First was the aluminum boom replacements that were supposed to come with mounting screws and have pre-drilled holes for the mounting hardware. What I got was just a plain aluminum tube, no mounting hardware or pre-drilled holes. I contacted them to find out what the deal was and still have not heard back from them, it's been about a week now. Then I just got my order today for some replacement parts and they sent the wrong part for the battery support rig. Not even close to the part number that I ordered and no way I can use it on my heli. I do like the USPS shipping from them though, it's cheap, gets to me within the week and the post office delivers on Saturdays! Everyone should ship with the post office... Don't think I will be buying from these guys again.

The top two mail order heli sites around. Customer service with either one should set the standard for the industry.

I like helihobby I guess they take care of their steady customers and don't care about the one timers because I have never had any problems with them and will continue to use them

ibought from them january 1st. i bought a glowplug came to 10 buxs im still waintg for it

Have you called them? I can see the plug costing that with shipping. Most have standard shipping costs. You should ask what shipping will be if you don't know. I would be on the phone either canceling the order after this long or finding out what happened.

npigg, I would say the same. Call them on the phone and ask about the part. If you got the wrong one, they will fix it, if that is the way the part is and the website was wrong, send it back and get a refund. How did you try to contact them? If by email, it is possible it went right into their spam trap.

Pick up the phone and call them today and get an answer instead of getting mad about it. Its easy to be ticked, but 9 times out of 10, it is a simple missunderstanding.

They have added many new people to answer the phones and I get right through to them all the time ask for Nikki and she will take care of it right away she helps me all the time.;)Flyboy you made moderator glad to see someone make it that actually goes into the forums without having to be told of a objectionable post good deal my friend!!!!!:D:D:D

helihobby sucks they ripped me for 60.00 in parts plus they say they have them then you get only half of what you ordered and say they are backorder for 2 months they dont have what it takes to be a good company i will never buy from them agian and they lie just my 2 cents

they have my $70 for a JR servo and Nikki has told me that they shipped, the reshipped and the web site now tells me that they shipped again. After 3 shipments one might assume that the part should have arrived, afterall I just a short distance down the road. No luck yet and I"m beginning to think that something is happening there that may be unfavourable.

First we were all a first time customer once. I believe it’s hit and miss with them. I’ve ordered twice with them and no problems but if you search around you’ll see for every good one there’s a bad one. They are my last hope shop if no one else has it then I’ll go to them.

I will say though that nobody carries the inventory they do.

There were one of the second places I tried when my LHS couldn't get the batteries I needed. The guy on the phone was very helpful. He recommended a better battery and gave it to me for the price of the lesser battery i originally thought I needed. I was able to wait on the phone while he checked stock to make sure parts were there and ready to ship. Parts came quickly and everything was as expected. I was happy to get everything I needed at once place rather than placing several orders with different shops. Im very happy with them on my first order and I will be ordering with them again. Sorry to hear about your problems. Helis are new to me so I dont know whos who in this market. I was always a Hobbypeople and LHS customer spending thousands there. The shop that does me right will get my hard earned dollars for this new obsession.
