Lite Machines Heli's?
 

I am new to this site and new to the hobby. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the good and bad of the lite machines 100 and 110. I want to get a friend hooked at a resonable cost so I have somebody local to fly with. Thanks in advance. This site is so much faster then RCO!

Thanks for coming! As far as the lmh, I have had two and have one left, they are fun, but are a little different than the larger heli's being fixed pitch, but are a very good learning heli! my 13 year old brother can hover it now! They are very tough, I tried to do a roll once, was pretty high, not high enough but anyway, was going as fast as it could tried to roll and it went straight into the ground, bounced, pretty hard crash, I figured it had alot of damage, all it took was another mainshaft which I make myself and the canopy had a little damage and it broke the little piece off the crutch that the landing gear hooks to, I had it going the next day with a little glue and another shaft.
Awesome little birds! Once you can fly one of them larger ones would be no problem, the forward flight is a little odd as everyone I have flown wanted to pitch up pretty good but its still a great learning heli. BUT, by the time you get it all ready to run, unless you get a used one, your not a long ways off from a larger heli that will probably go farther down the learning curve once you want to do aerobatics and such.
All in all I would recommend one to anyone, they are alot of fun!

I have had three of them and I love em!!! A bit different than a 30 but still fun!

Well, I tried one and wasnt real impressed. But I had flown a 30 before I got it too. Personally if I was really interested I would just get a 30 to begin with. But thats just my opinion.

I understand, I will say one thing, it really depends on the setup as to how it will feel, as a larger one, but it can go from mild to very hard.

some differences in the crutch and gyro on the tail, I have both 100+ models, I think the crutch is weaker on the 100's but dont quote me on it. On both mine I took the arlton gyro off the tail and put the smallest and cheapest piezo gyro on it, they hold like a HH with one!! Very fun machine.

HI,IM NEW TOO THE SITE BUT THET ME TELL YOU FOR THE PRICE YOU CANT GO WRONG. THE DURABILITY IS UNBELIEVABLE! IVE OWNED GMP LEGEND60,CONCEPT30,HELICAT30,AND NOT ONE OF THESE CAN I JUST FIRE UP IN MY BACK YARD.BUT THE LMH I CAN! AS LONG AS YOU KNOW THIS LITTLE BIRD HAS LIMITATIONS,THE FUN IS ENDLESS!(i practice landing on basket ball all the time)IN 3yrs.all ive had too replace is the body. DONT GET ME WRONG IVE BENT SHAFT AND TAIL BOOM BUT VERY EASY TO STRAITEN OUT. I MUST ADMIT I PROABALY NEED MAIN BLADES THERE PRETTY NICKED UP!I ALSO THINK THIS LITTLE BIRD HONES YOUR SKILLS WHEN YOU JUMP UP TOO THE BIG BIRDS. MAY YOUR FUEL SUPPLY BE ENDLESS! BASHER;) ;) ;) ;)

From your replys I have decided to try out a lmh. I have put an add in the helicopter wanted but have not had anybody wanting to sell theirs. I guess I will just wait or if anybody who reads this wants to get rid of their lite machines please contact me directly. THANKS :) :)
