If using your own transmitter with the new USB Realflight version, is the controller and cable which came with the software an independent unit? In other words, would you have your transmitter and a USB connector as well as the other controller with its own USB connector, or do they share some hardware?

Thanks FuryFlyer 2,

So my transmitter would plug into the back of the controller provided using the TX interface cable.
Therefore I would not have two controllers available. Did I get that right?

The radio (my 9z) plugs into an adapter that is about 10 inches long.
That adapter plugs into another (aprox 6') cable via a stereo type plug.
That cable plugs into the back side of the Interlink radio by a special plug connection.
The Interlink radio, then plugs in via usb to the computer.

The previous G2 used to have you radio plug in the printer port interface module through their supplied cable.

Both ways worked well for me. I like the USB now though!
