pre-programable flights?
In an indoor environment, is it possible to make a program that somehow
interacts with a helicopter's controller so that if you place the helicopter in the same spot and position, you can get it to go to another specific spot in the building and land there just by pushing a button? David |

nopEda:: ... is it possible ... |
RE: pre-programable flights?
Yes, but it will be difficult to write, each flight is different.

RE: pre-programable flights?
It's possible, but the technology behind it is not cheap. Most helicopters that are positionally aware use GPS to do it.
All self-piloted models i've ever seen have all been ruinously expensive and usually used for industrial/military application. |
RE: pre-programable flights?
Someone was trying to do that for a Uni thing... They were gonna spend $$$. Not cheap.

RE: pre-programable flights?
very interesting question. i'm new to r/c helicopter and am already thinking about the pre-programmed aspect. right now, I don't know how it is to be done, but I think pre-programmed flights would involve a OEM connector at the antennae/transmitter with a black-box of some sort. I'll get back to you guys when I figure it out.
