Is anyone out there running this motor? I mean this thing seems like that poor little red-head step daughter that nobody loved!

If you have one or have a buddy flying one would you PLEASE share your impressions. I am in need of a 90 and can't seem to find a source for the OS or YS 91s ANYWHERE. I am down to the Webra .91 and TT .90.

Even YS .80s are hard to find. I heard they are discontinuing this motor.

So, can someone share some info???? :(

YS .91's are supposed to be avail by the end of the month.

Yeah, I keep hearing that and keeping my fingers crossed. But, the real turn-off is the cracking cases. Jason Krause told me that he has had one crack as well. I think a YS .91 ST2 is in order.

Don't get an OS .91, wait for the YS

Eddie,
I have decided that I will wait for the YS 91. I guess I will go with the SB-16. After hearing Jason Krause's this weekend I was real impressed with the smothness and low engine noise. In fact, the SAB blades he was flying with were noisier than the motor!

This is going in a Predator Max from Century.

Good luck, keep me updated on the predator.

Thats kind of funny. I have a friend that owns a hobby shop that has an OS 91 C-Spec sitting on the shelf. I think it might just be spoken for. But it has been there for almost a week. He received 4 of the initial shippment. And all but one was gone the first day that they arrived. I guess these big blocks are getting WAY to much pub. Everyboby wants one now. I wonder what it will be like when the 1.0 come out.:)

As far as the C-Spec goes I would wait till April-May till they come out with the pumped version with regulated carb. Jason Krause was testing this version. He said they were supposed to be out in May or so but who knows.

Well so far the C-Spec without the pump is doing quite well. We will be getting more time on them hopefully today. But as of now, I am impressed with it. Only time will tell, but I suspect it will be a good engine with or without a pump. Besides that I have seen plenty of OS 91's that were not running a pump, that could 3D their ars's off. So I guess I am not completely convinced that the pump is absolutly needed. But that is just me.
