RE: Motor Question

They are similar in power but I think you will find the OS more reliable and it will last longer.

RE: Motor Question

I have many flights on both:

TOKI 40 with its own tuned muffler:

1 - Great value, as it is so well priced as a motor/muffler combo

2 - Much more power then the OS37 (even using the same tuned mufflers)

3 - Rear bearings lasted about twice as many flights as the OS37

4 - Important to read the instructions on setting the carb as it is different from the OS (e.g. Main needle open 4 1/4 rather then 1 1/2)

5 - After the first gallon (on both) I then tweak for max performance and found that even though the TK-40 produced noticeably more power, it also was much better on fuel consumption making for longer flights.

OS-37:

1 - More expensive and one has to buy a relatively expensive tuned muffler for it to come anywhere near the Toki for power

2 - Carb is more conventional in adjusting, so more people know how to adjust them.

3 - Parts are available in most hobby shops, but far more expensive.
