high head speed problem

my headspeed is high, and I was told this by a next experience modeler. My temp is usually under 200 and I still would have a lot of headspeed. lately I started richening the mixture and venom temp gauge was showing temp of around 220 but there is alot more smoke(temp probe probably defective) Last tuesday when I went to fly it the temp was showing around 160-170 what I'm used to seeing. When I'm about to take off the headspeed is very high but when its in the air sometime the blade make a weird noise especially if I tried to decend too fast it would make that sound as if the headspeed is too high and it don't come down as fast as I want it to from a hover. I must add that this idle up, if I'm in a high hover and I drop the collective too much it would make the noise, the tail would twitch, would decend slow, but if I add collective it would raise, the twitching would stop, and the noise would stop. I have over 15gal on my os32, during most of this 15gal it was run a little on the rich side.
Radio setup 9c throttle curve idle up mode 57,57,57,75,100
pitch curve idle up mode 15%38%56%73%86%. I just put the pitch gauge on both blade and I got -7, -2, 2, 6, 8.5 and on the second blade I got -6, 0, 4.5, 8, 9.5

Richen your low end and try to get a skytach. Your engine is over heating and going lean. Try to find a local heli pilot to set your heli if you can if not make sure your pitch is set and than only adjust your thro curve to maintain the proper head speed which would be 1650-1750.

Thro curve should be 25 +/-, 50 , 75 , 100
Pitch curve - -2 , 4.5-5 , 9.5 max

Make sure you track your blades, from what you have said the blades are not in track.

When you say your head speed is high, How high? Have you gotten a reading on it. spinning the head at 1850 is not to high. For a beginner 1700 to 1750 is a good starting point and for some it sounds very high. I am now turning my C30 at 1900.

1900 is too high for me, a beginner should run like 1700-1800

Your pitch curve in Idle up should be something like -10, -6, 0, +6, +10 and your throttle should be more like 90, 70, 50, 70, 90.

those are the #s I am trying now, didn't really get to test it properly as yet

As I said 1700 is good to start with but most 30's will not pull 10 deg of pitch even with a head speed of 1900.
