Need help.......

Since i am going to buy a power panel, can i use it to check my volts in my receiver battery? I know they sell things with panel ready clips with the end of your receiver battery for charging and you use that with a volt meter, could i plug it into the power panel and it will shows the volts or something? LMK thanks

As a rule no. You might find one that will will do it, but I can't think of any at the moment. Most powerpanels will just give you 12 volts for your starter, 1 1/2 volts for your glowplug, and 12 volts and a 2-way switch for you electric fuel pump. Some will even recharge your ni-starter but I don't think I've ever seen one with an ESV or flight pack charger all in one.

No, buy an Expanded Scale Voltmeter. A regular voltmeter is practically useless. You need to be able to apply a load to the pack to see how it responds. Loads usually vary from 2-400ma's.

It will tell you whether your pack is safe to fly or not.
