I bought this charger but the directions were missing. So I have a couple of questions.

1) Can I charge both TX and RX batteries simultaneously?

2)How do the batteries Cycle? Does it charge first and then discharge?

3)Is this a Peak Charger or do you have to time it?

4)Can I damage the batteries if I leave them plugged in too long or not long enough

5)I think it is a overnight charger and if so what is the advantage of using this machine over the wall charger that comes with the radio?

6) How often should you cycle your batteries?

***Yes you can. I charge both my plan and 8103 the night before I go fly

*** You can hit the discharge button and it will discharge the battery then charge it

*** I believe it is a Peak Charger. I have never timed it

4)Can I damage the batteries if I leave them plugged in too long or not long enough

*** Don't think so. Been using mine for about 5 months. No problems

*** It will give you a readout of the charge level or if you discharge then charge it will give you how many milliamps it discharged. The wall charger won't

6) How often should you cycle your batteries?

***Different people will say different times. I have been told about every 6 months.

It is not a peak detect charger. You have two charge rates for the rx side. 50ma and 150ma. The tx side charges at 100ma. If you leave a small rx pack on at the 150ma rate it will cook it if left too long. I fast charge at the field frequently so I cycle more often. After I have fast charged ten times or so the packs don't seem to hold up as long. I cycle once and they are back to normal. This is more noticable on the tx than the rx packs as I never run them down in a days flying. My rx packs are all 2000ma or more.

Do you think it would be necessary to get a peak charger, for simplicity sake and to maintain the longevity of the batteries?

Peak detect chargers are strictly for fast charging. Stay with slow charging and your batteries will be much happier.
