Like everything else, it just takes alittle time to learn new things. See you brought a Heli that required the user to experienced, something you did not have. It's nothing wrong with the Raptor, you just need to be more aware of what or how the heli response. The proper setup is what is needed, this I can't give to you because like you I'm inexperienced. But research the internet and this forum for the answers you need. The only thing you can do now, is replace the parts you broke and try again. Repairs are virtually easy to do if you take the craft about and place the piece in way that you will remember how to assemble back.

Looking back on lessons learned we can laugh about it. But it's not much fun while you're going thru it. I'm a noob too and I'm having my problems and learning a lot.
Don't be discouraged with the G2 yet. It is complicated, but it will turn us into good heli mechanics before we become good heli pilots. Get an exploded parts view if you don't already have one. Learn the names of all the parts and what they do. I know it's a job, but it will help you when you need to fix things and order parts.
You said you have tail damage. The tail, main gearing, and main blades are all directly connected and they all turn together. If one is bound up the whole system is affected. Make sure the tail turns freely and that nothing is interfering with it. Also visually inspect every ball joint and linkage up and down the main shaft. Make sure they are all properly connected. Dangling linkages can bind and get tangled with other things and prevent the main shaft from turning.
Be safe and try to have some fun with it all. It's a hobby. The paybacks will be great times learning to fly.

Hello Wantofly
Bad luck, if you go to this site http://www.rtf-heli.com/Downloads.html , you can download User manuals, exploded diagrams, and flight simulator software. The former will help you get your Raptor G2 back in working order, the latter will help you to learn how to get is airborne.
