Hi,
Hope I am not too late.
Flying inverted or upside down is easy however there are a few things to be aware of:
1. Heli setup you need to have different throttle and pitch curves to allow for invented flight. Have an experienced pilot check it out.
2. Just like with “nose in” hovering the orientation changes.
3. There is no training gear!
4. Take your time and do it at your pace.
Simulator practice
1. Buy and practice on a simulator, flip upside down and right side up.
2. Simulator Practice an escape route, something you know you can do without thinking about it to save your tail when you get in trouble.
3. Practice flipping it one way, I started with bring the nose up. So the end result would be nose in inverted.
4. Next, when you feel you can do it without thinking about it on the sim, it’s time to do it on the field.
Field practice:
1.Start by doing a simple loop.
2. Then we you feel good about the loop, widen your loop out at the top and apply negative pitch, allow it to float invented
for a few seconds. Then finish the loop returning right side up and positive pitch. Gives you a feel for inverted flight.
3. Next, Height is your friend!!! On a 450 give yourself enough height to allow for your escape route. (40ft or so). Pull back on the collective and apply negative pitch as the heli comes around. Remember to keep the tail straight, if not it will go off to the right or left, do not panic!! Just bring it all the way around back to right side up and straighten it out.
4. Once you get the hang of it, and you have your escape route down, freeze it upside down for a second, two and so on.
Now you’re on your way.
Practice, Practice, Practice. Simulator and field.
You can also take a page from the air planes, try flying a few patterns like a “Cuban” and so on.
Warning: The sad part of this is I 100% guarantee you will crash. It’s part of the RC modeling. All you can do it fly safe, maintain your heli and keep the crashes few and far between AND have a blast!!
Enjoy

Dude I've found it easier if 1. get a big spongy pillow 2. place near sturdy wall 3. do headstand on pillow 4. now when you fly that baby it will be upside dwn! lol
could'nt resist, never flown a heli that 3D fashion, but hey forget that 3D stuff come over to the Scale side Luke!
do it all in fun was the best advice I ever received, be serious bout your gear etc. be professional, but try not to get caught up in the snob crowd there's alway that group you know who claim they never had hand me down's, always have the most expensive mod's and well never have time for us everyday Cat's so to each there own, hope that bit of 3D work's if not like I said try the Cruzin crowd in scale build and flight much more to do and see and learn unless you're hung up in loops.
