What's your pocket knife? What ya suggest to go with?
I've had my old SOG Flash II for 5+ years, It's a fantastic knife, clips easily into my pocket and is functional immediately after drawing. But it was out of work the other day. Now I have to move on to a new one. I've just looked into this Pocket Knife. Is it nice one to go with? Will I be disappointed? Any other options?
I'm sure there are plenty of other pocket knife peeps out there, what do you carry and why?

Kershaw make a great knive- can't go wrong with a Kershaw. I had one several years ago tha lasted a long time, until I lost it when I moved... :-( That Baby Boa looks a little on the small size for me- I have a KM mariner, skeleton stainless steel pocket knife. I've had it for the 5 years, and it's been holding up very nicely, and I bought it for around $15.00!

I carry a Benchmade Osborne right now and really like it. Historically I was a tanto point guy but this one has brought me back. Not cheap though.
If you want an inexpensive knife that is a super performer go with any of Cold Steel's folders. I like the Recon pretty well too.

I have about ten different models from them and have given many more as gifts, never had one fail in any way.

Pocket knives to men are like purses and hand bags to women. A pocket knife must suit the likes and needs of the one who carries it. I have a SOG multi tool that I keep in my car, as it has many functions for many different situations. I have another one on my R/C building table. I carry my pocket knife by BENCHMADE in my pocket.

I agree. I've got more knives than unbuilt kits for sure. In fact I have one of all the knives mentioned above by you guys. My Emerson CQC6 is my all time fav but this Osborne is a real strong second. As far as autos go I like all of my MOD blades especially the OTF models.

I carry 3 pocket knives all of the time. One is an Old Henry 3 blade. One is a 3 blade Case. The third is a very old Stanley 10-059 "whittling knife" that I have carried for the last 35 years. The Stanley is my favorite but it is getting really hard to find the Stanley 11-111 blades (or any of the few blades that supposedly fit it). I am sure that it would nevre pass current safety rules but the thing is very handy and that is why Iuse it for almost everything (why ruin my good knives if I have this one?)
Does anyone happen to know of a source for the Stanley 11-111 blades? The last ones Igot through Amazon but they do not appear to be made any more (but then the knife is no longer made either).

My Case Stockman has served me well for a few years now. The kershaw leek is never far away, and a Gerber fixed blade
resides in each of my vehicles.
My favorite SOG is still the Topo Meridian.

Here's what I carry to the field... I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned earlier..

I liked the Gerber version, but the plyers broke when trying to undo a bicycle nut. The Swiss army plyers are much more substantial.

My pocket knife isn't even a knife, technically speaking. I carry my Motorola Droid with me when I whip the cars out. 'Bout the only thing I can't do with that is check temperatures. I can light things up, I can get clearer views with the camera than I can with my naked eyes, I can use it to set camber/toe-out, measure peak speeds, see how smooth things are running, calculate gear ratios, and that's just off the top of my head.

I have always carried a Swiss Army Knife. Maybe its the Eagle Scout in me, but there is not a day that goes by that I do not use it at least once.
Here is the one I currently carry. It's like my watch or wallet, I feel naked without it in my pocket.

I've carried this for the past 37 years. Have lost 1, worn out 2, and trash canned 1 at airport security.

I love Benchmades. Their warranty is more like a challenge: break it if you can and we'll send you another one. Then see if you can break that one. They even resharpen for free. Of course, all of the top makers have essentially unlimited warranties these days so that's not exclusive to Benchmade.
