Son rats out my wife!
 

So the other day my wife says she has an idea for an addition to the crawler/scaler course we have out back. I listen, then give the ok for her to do whatever pops into her pretty head out there. I come back after an hour or so, and, almost at once notice my comp shafty has been compromised. Several links hanging free. I ask "how'd that happen?" She says, in typical female fassion "they just popped off!" I shook my head and looked over at my son, who then hit me with "she took a horrible line dad!" I burst into laughter. Truly excellent!

My main question is how one gets a rock crawler going fast enough to pop links off in the first place...

its not speed that pops them off as much as its bindIng. I have broken 2 chromoly 300m axles on my berg, they are a step down from the hardest material you can machine. plastic rodends are very easy to break with a strong enough crawler.

I'm guessing she probably drove it off a 20' boulder....[&:]
