Dedicated R/C Flyer
Bill and Larry were spending a beautiful morning at the flying field. Bill was flying when a funeral procession came by slowly on the road adjacent to the field. Bill landed his airplane, took off his hat, and stood silently while the long line of cars in the funeral procession drove by. Afterwards, Bill began preparing his airplane for the next flight.
Larry walked over to Bill and said " Bill that was very moving and very respectful of you to stop flying and show your respect like that. I'm very impressed". Bill said to Larry, "Well Larry it was the least I could do, after all, we were married 35 years." |

RE: Dedicated R/C Flyer
That was sooo my father!
It was not warped. I sent it to my mother who could really relate.. My father died last week after 53 years of r/c modeling. His last request was a song to be played at the end of the service. Silence followed as the music started. "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines" Well, with eyes full of tears, Mum, my brother and sister and I burst into fits..... much to the disgust of many in the church..... True story.. |

RE: Dedicated R/C Flyer
reminds me of my friends father that past away not to long ago.
he was a kit cutter that made giant scale warbirds. when he passed from cancer his wish was that he not be buried, nor creamated. he wished that his body be donated to science, so that some med student somewere could get a good laugh. a joker till the end. must be something about this hobby. |
