CA to replace Duct Tape?
After reading through the CA mishaps thread, I began thinking about all the things CA could be used for. This led me to wondering which one is more versatile, CA or Duct tape?

RE: CA to replace Duct Tape?
well duct tape dose not work very well like gluing small wood and plastic peaces together like CA dose. But I do Rely heavily on both:D

RE: CA to replace Duct Tape?
Duct Tape is The Forced...it has a light and dark side, and binds the universe together.
Soooooooooooooo...... CA can't replace Duct Tape. It doesn't have a light and dark side. |

For RC Super glue (ca) is king, but for everyday things duct tape cannot be beaten.
Observe (i'd like to see anyone try to do this with CA!) :D |

Nice.. A geo isn't complete without something being held on by duct tape.. Usually a bumper or headlight.

The metros are so very easy to work on. The little Inline 3 has lots of room to work around. My uncle, who rebuilt a 73 vette and has his own full scale plane, Had his daughter bring her metro to him to fix. He tore it down and rebuilt it in like 2 days in his spare time. Since then he buys up all the metros he can find and rebuilds them for fun and a little profit.

I flew with a guy that drove a Metro. He was 6'4" and about 240 lbs and his wife was about the same size. He also had a Mastif mix, which was the size of a small horse ride in the back all the time.
What a sight to see them going to town in that little car. I think he sill has it and it must have over 300,000 miles on it. We used to joke with him because some of his planes had more HP than his car. This was one of the guys in our club that would fly a 2x4 with a chainsaw engine and a Telemaster wing duct taped to it. In fact, I don't thing he knew Monokote existed since he would use duct tape to repair holes in his covering. Still, the Geo was one of GMs finest products. Scott |
