Come on TimWatson! You called the guy out by questioning the validity of his professional history and he flat out backed up his claims.Admityou were wrong to doubt him and move on. It's called being a man!
I asked a question and Henry replied. If you and others thing he always speaks the truth on here then that is up to you. Others have different opinions

Your definition of being a man is also interesting

Mine were too tall on the elevators, so I had to make some custom spacers. But I used aluminum heli mounts that were 1/4in thick.

Version 3 or earlier as they have different mountings if I understand the V3 correctly?

Sorry, V3. I know the idea of what needs to happen but the tail is not overly accomodating.

Two ways you can go: build a servo box in the tail or fin and attach to both skins then attach servo to a purpose built/manufactured mount Hysoled to a plate glued to the skins, or build a servo mount on the servo cover and attach the whole thing by the cover screws, not my preferred option.

Just received my v2. Some formers needed more glue, but overall, not any different from Boomerang quality. I am also happy as the vinyl decals could be easily removed. I fancy a Finnish AF version. The hinges changed to ca ones as I've happily used them.
The undercarriage is quite lightly done, but lets see it probably works fine.
Overall impression is positive, but the main lg blocks seem to be balsa-why? Those will have to be changed. The nose lg blocks are painted so its more difficult to identify the wood species. Probably the same soft wood.

Don't use quick reply, use reply on the top of a post, at the bottom you will see the upload icon.

Decided to recover my V2 Tornado. Not only was it getting ratty looking, but with the grey bottom in a grey sky, it was difficult to track the plane

Biggest problem was matching the cub yellow ultracoat with spray in a rattle can. Finally decided on Testors yellow which is very close. Problem is that it is not jet A fuel proof. Kryon clear and Top Flite clear react. (wasn't I glad I tested it on the bottom hatch first). Finally, poloyurethane clear did the trick

I glued blocks to the stock servo mount/hatches and screwed servos to the blocks. I would like to see how guys are doing the linkages and the control horn placment for the rudders and the alevato on V3 though. The only instructions out there only show earlier version with exposed servos.

Yes that is normal for some of the wheel to hang down. You won't notice it in the air.

Try washers under the lading gear to tilt it a little bit outward when gear is down (you need to use two or three thin washers) and the gear will go full inside the well.

I mean inward.

You can also crank the wire back like a trailing link so it will go in further, also help it track better, or you could make your own trailing leg not that difficult

Ok, replaced the landing gear mounts in the wing with proper thick plywood blocks...much better now! But the elevator, is it really supposed to be glued in place? The transporting and storing the model will become difficult.

TP.

Yes glue it in place and make a spreader plate to bolt onto the booms when removed from the airframe to prevent transport damage.
