The new Tornado sport jet
#2601

Just one other point all Tornados we dispatch now for the UK and Europe will get the treatment detailed in the previous post. This is me putting my stamp on the model. Tornados dispatched can now be taken out of the box, assembled and everything will fit together perfectly.
All you need to is fit out the model and fly.

Well done Ian, about time someone took some notice of all the negative posts, perhaps now we can move on to how well this thing fly's.

I just believe that the model is an ace sports jet trainer and all the issues with construction quality have given the model bad press.

OK guys I finally maidened my tornado last month and it flew like it was on rails. I now have a problem. I stripped one of my 8000 servos that I bought off of Henry when I bought the kit. Does any one know what gear set I could get to replace the stripped ones? I was just wondering if any one else has had to replace their gear sets on their 8000's.

Don't bother the Spektrum DS921 is a perfectly adequate standard size digital servo on this airframe if that is what you need and is at a throw away cost.

That's great. I am looking for something else to work on over the winter. Honestly, I just assume get another Tornado. I love the way it flys and its perfect for my small field and shorter runway. Just sucks to have to spend $30 for after market canopy, About $30 for Hysol to glue flormers and landing gear area, tank fittings, etc. I also wish they could do a better job smoothing out the flight surfaces before covering them and doing a better job filling in pinholes and dings before painting....especially the booms. Don't get me wrong its a great deal and it fly great, it could just be beter. I may get another and while I have the time, just re-paint and re-cover over the winter. Or just fly and have fun like I am doing with my first one haha. From 5 feet it looks awesome! LOL

Hopefully I have addressed most of these issues. I think a few imperfections in the booms isn't a big issue at the price and after all this isn't a scale or even stand-off scale model.

You don't have to buy them as they are included now in the kits I supply. Use it or keep it as a spare.

Why do you have to buy an after market canopy is it not as good as the one that comes with the falcon/navycat?

Everything fits perfectly now on the kits which leave me. Even the V2 canopy fits the V3 fuzz. I know as I have 2 V3's with V2 canopies fitted. Provided you fit them correctly they are fine.
The Tornados I supply are spot on now i supply and all you have is put them together.
End of......
