Hi to all,
I have so many flights on my Tornado the tires are worn down. They almost look like a retread job gone bad!! Breaks are good and all other gear pieces I just need the tires that's all. Does anyone know where to get 2 new tires to fit?
Thanks

Contact Spring Air. They carry and made the retracts and struts. They carry the brakes and wheels too.

Hi Heilman 4213,
Thanks for the pics, I get the idea on how to run the brake lines now, just dont want them to bend so that the air wont get through to work the brakes.

If you need anything else let me know. I modified many things on mine to make it super strong as well as addressing some weak points in the model. I like my models to last a long time so I make things strong so they will last.

Hey Guys,
Can I use mini servos for each aileron ? 0n my Tornado Jet with a K80 I am thinking about using Tactic TS X20 puts out 55 OZ of torque at 6 volts. Apparently they are the same as Hi tech 225 Mg.
Thanks.

I would say an emphatic NO, really pushing your luck and the luck of those around you, its not just about touque, but gear strength as well.

As well at this point why would you put a servo like that in a jet? It doesn't make sense. Futaba, JR, HiTec. Stick to something reliable. Why spend money on a jet and risk it at this point. Put something good in it. Also that is borderline in torque should be a little more than that.

If you are trying to be budget conscious go with a hitec 625 or 645mg

Good choice, both good servo's, and exactly what I used in my Falcon 120.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info on the servos, I was using these servos because apparently Tactic are Futaba this what I have heard. Also I made a mistake with the specs on the servo that I was thinking about using.
These Tactic TSX25 Mini Digital high speed 2bb servo the torque is 84oz 6.1 kg at 4.8 volts or 91oz 6.6 kg at 6volts. Some of these standard servos haven't even got the same torque as these mini ones?
I just thought as they are for Ailerons it would be ok. I got the specs & servos form Tower's.

Hi Guys

Moving offices, larger, and have a number of Falcon 120 & Tornado (Yellow/Black, Red/White, Navy) spares. If you need anything in particular please PM me and I'll see if I can help.

Also, have the stronger canopies and turbine mounts if you need them.

He sent me an incomplete set of retracts. There was no nose gear retract and the air tank was bent and punctured. The whole kit looked like it had been pulled from another aircraft.

So you just need the nose gear retract? Tank should be ok if only got a few dents?

I think Henry is long gone? This is what I cant stand. When they are in business they are great salesman left and right. When they leave in most cases they say nothing. We just find out about it like you are having to. I asked long ago about getting another Tornado never heard anything. I think this is Bullcrap!! How about when these guys leave they post on here and say thank you for your support and business but im going on to different things if you need parts or anything contact so and so. They just leave, got your money at one point, and don't care. I think this is not only bad business but shows what kind of person someone really is. This happened with Boomerang USA and Pat!! She had tons of peoples money including mine and gave a song and dance every time you talked to her about a container coming. She knew it wasn't coming, lied, and told people it was. What it was is that she was in the process of selling Boomerang USA and had no intention of delivering anything. She got pissed at people and asked a few people and myself included what business is it of mine to know about a container? Its my business because you have my money. Ever heard of Theft Of Services? Well my attorney has. Again speaks of who people really are. And before anyone asked yes this info is factual not opinion. My situation got resolved. I have dealt with tons of RC companies in my 38 years. I would have to say if we just keep it about jets that the service, including someone always there to pick up the phone, and knows what there talking about would be BVM, Bob Violet Models, and Dreamwork's Model Products. I have dealt with these companies on a continued basis for 5 years. Dustin at BVM and Lynda and Todd at Dreamwork's go beyond the realm of normal service in every aspect. They always help and these 2 companies know almost more than anyone about jet stuff. Anyway to wrap up I think it is unethical, crappy, bad business to just disappear without respect for your customers. Still don't know if we can get parts or jets?? I don't know this Modellbau UK guy your dealing with and hopefully he will be helpful. My advice to Modellbau UK is to post on here if we can still buy jets and parts and where. From them, or in the US??? I think its time for an update on this thread about products so those of us that want to continue with these products can, or let us know if you are getting rid of this line and will no longer be selling them when you run out.

I agree well said. This is the reason I split from Henry and now buy the same product direct from the factory and sell under our UK name of Kestrel

i still have a few spare parts available for the Tornado but not many. Also have perfectly good used parts too to get you out of a corner.

We moulded our own canopies as the factory ones are crap. We also manufacture swept back turbine mounts so you don't have to dremel the rear fairing too much

We also supply far superior plastic tanks compared to the really awful GRP ones originally supplied in the tornado boxes

We don't sell SpringAir retracts for the model, they're just not good enough, and now sell the model with top notch fully electric or pneumatic brakes manufactured by Ramtec/Intairco

New set just on their way from my good pal Gasper at Xicoy/JetsMunt so I'll post some details here if you like when they arrive

We used to sell Kingtech K80 until we had the rug pulled out from underneath in the UK, despite selling 4 turbines a month, and now we supply the Kestrel with JetsMunt vt80's. Combo, good value deals available too.

Regarding who we are, we put the QComposites Aurora on the market when no one else wanted to. Now it sells in numbers worldwide through several distributors. We also have the new jet coming out soon, I'll post links shortly to the threads on here for those 2 models.

By the way although our name is similar to ModellbauUSA we have and never have had any business ties to Henry's company, we just bought models from him. The name was selected as we thought we were going to have a long term relationship with ModellbauUSA, how wrong we were. The name certainly confuses the Germans. Lol

So we are very much live & kicking, please get in touch if you need any help at all although shipping from the UK to USA can be pricey. The other way too. Especially when you consider we used to buy Torbados from Henry them having been shipped from China to USA and then across the pond to the UK

The new Jet being marketed through Aurora dealers in the USA under the name of Sparrow. Name doesn't work well in the UK so we've gone with Swift. What do you think Sparrow or Swift?
