HI
Just want to tell you about the suberb service provided by James at FlyEagleJet!!!

I have in the past years purchased FEJ models: Large F-15, small F-15, F-4 phantom, F-14 Tomcat, Large Mig 29 etc.
The last model was a Hawk scale 1: 4 1/2 for a friend of mine. The model was shipped with DHL, as usual. On monday the first box arrived ok. On tuesday a bigger box containing the fuselage arrived. The box was repaired with a lot of scotch tape with the DHL logo on it. After a look inside we could see that the vertical fin was completely trashed, and the fuselage had holes and scratches on five, six places. The wings also had some damage.
I e-mailed James and told him the sad news. James asked if it could be repaired, and if so he would send parts and touch up paint. I told him it would be a lot of work, and it wuld never be like new. Next day i get a e-mail from James saying: Put the plane back in the boxes, i will arrange with DHL to pick it up, and you will get a new Hawk.

THANK YOU JAMES!!! This is very good service!!! And we will offcourse keep buying your great models!!!

DHL: The "FRAGILE" sticker is for the whole box, not only where the sticker is applied on the box ;.)

Yes, James is a good guy. In the future, if you get a box like that, you should insist on inspecting the contents right there in front of the driver and if there is visible damage, refuse to accept the package right then and there. Doing so on the receiving end can potentially save both you and the sender (i.e., FEJ) a lot of hassles with the shipper...

The DHL driver said that the damage was reported at the warehouse before he took it out for delivery. Because we notified the driver about the damage.

Hi Christian,

Looks like DHL damaged the box, but you as a customer, or any other customer should not have a broken jet after pay for a new one.

This is what I would expect as a REGULAR service from any jet manufacturer or any other company.

The question as Bob said is, during collection, do not accept it if it is broken or even if the box as some signs of damage. Else the sender will not be able to ask for insurance and thus make it harder to send a new one.

Well, all you have to do now is to be a little patient and wait a bit more

I would add the suggestion "Take lot's of Photos" of the Damaged box before refusing delivery, then you can send them to the company to show why the shipment was refused.

Hi all yes the after sales service is fantastic,i suffered the same fate from D H L 2 years ago,the box had holes from which looked like a fork lift had driven right through it,the fusealarge was wrecked,i took photos of the damage and emailed them to james,a new fuze was sent,no fuss, no aguments,also having had several kits from them any part that is not right is replaced with no fuss,that is how it should be WELL DONE FLY EAGLE regards keith
