RE: Sports Jet Feedback
Sure?
It is butt-ugly! Looks like the DV8Rs ugly brother.
For my liking, the nose is way to short and too small. Elevator looks massive on the pictures. And the canopy looks like someone found it in the workshop and fitted it after the jet was finished.
I KNOW, jet trainers do not have to be beauties and I have flown quite a few "different" jets (Facet, AV8R, Assassin, Reaction). But that is a bit off for my liking

RE: Sports Jet Feedback
It has a great solution for a sport jet thrust line settings, without having the chores of a enclosed turbine and a thrust pipe. I liked the idea as it must fly much truer than a Falcon 120 or even a Bobcat.. not to mention that you will not kill grass with it or burn a stab.
Maybe you can add a sexier front design and a nicer cabin, and you will end with a nice sport jet with above average functionality and safety of operation.

For those that asks, she flies nice and smooth with great handling.
Lands really nice and slow under flaps..
The main point seems to be about the nose and horizontal stab/elevators..
Perhaps if these could be reprofiled without affecting flight performance..
The designer called it the ocelot, which is where the paint scheme comes from.

C'mon guys give the guy a break and say something constructive, and I don't mean set fire to it.
As others have said I think it could be inproved by lengthning the nose and reducing the tailplane surface area, also from my point of view the tail is too low this would drag on the ground on a grass patch where the take off has to be a hoike into the air rather than let it take off at its own volition over a 300ft runway, don't have that luxury in the UK at most club fields.

I like the concept, but I agree that it would look better (and balance better) with a longer and bulkier nose, a proper cockpit instead of that stuck-on afterthought, and how about a little bit of sweepback (wing planform to match tail planform)?

RE: Sports Jet Feedback
Pretty good for a sport design but for my eye, I would have a longer distance between the wing and tailplane, make a longer nose section and blend in the canopy more.

Yes, they throw stones but without showing us their own masterpieces. Beauty is often in the eye of the designer.

What a great idea, let's all throw stones at it, it can only get better.

You wanted feedback?
Good things about this jet - no pipe.
Bad things - everything else.
I take it this idea is for your range of commercially available models?
Why not do what aussie bart suggested for a no pipe sport jet, modify the layout of the DV8R to eliminate the hunch back (like I did) or how about a semi scale Squalus or it's relative, the Sigmajet. No pipe, simple, pretty & not done before. - John.
