Default Powerbox help

Hi guys

One of my current projects is very limited on the accessibility side. Is it possible to 'y' lead the battery cable and have this extension as a charge socket? I normally have the PB easy to access meaning you can just unplug and charge it at the source. Is it possible to charge the batteries while they are connected to the PB itself? Thought I better check as electronics isnt my strongest area.

Thanks for any help.

Alex

Alex,

I asked Emmerich about this a while ago and he said it was fine. Having said that, I didn't end up needing to do it so haven't tried it myself.

Cheers,
Mark

Alex,
I charge all my planes thru the balancer connector (and only thru that), my batteries are permanently connected to powerboxes, Weatronic receivers etc.
I had a Powerbox Royal with two LiPo cells, they were also charged thru the balancer connectors, no problems
My batteries on emcotec regulators, even on my JetCat ECU's are all charged the same way
(charging on the balancer connector is effectively the same as Y'ing the main leads...)

Yes, no problem. We have a few models set up with a separate charging socket lead, so that the battery stays connected to the PB unit.
No issues
