Hi All,

what do you consider to be the best jet model?

for scale, flying and available parts.

My favorite plane is the one made by Legend of the Sky Eagle. Cheap prices to boot! Gear work too!

The best Jet I've ever had for quality no question, my JMP Firebird, incredible airplane, a sheer pleasure to build.
Best Jet I've ever had for nerve free but still totally beautiful flying airplane, my old CAI Raptor, it's a shame they aren't in production anymore. My Kingcat has been a great airplane, but doesn't fly anywhere near as crisp or true as the Raptor or Firebird.

Oddly enough, though hundreds of people swear by them, my least favorite jet so far as been my Super Bandit, it flies very nice, but it was a horrific build, particularly for the cost, and it doesn't fly any better than my Raptor or Firebird.

Turbine Funky chicken. Flies just like a real one and the supermarket stocks most of the bits........

Easy enough to sort out a fully ducted install with realistic tail pipe.

Well, we Flash flyers know that it's not a scale plane, which seems to be what the OP is asking about LOL

Ive only flown 3 jet models . . . a Baby Boomerang (intro) MW54, Mick Reaver Super Reaper MW54 and my Avonds F15 AMT Murcury . . . they all flew well, the boomerang is an acceptional sport flyer, the reapers was easy but my heart lays with the Avonds F15 it is a superb flyer and if I could only have one "J" that would be the one . . . I can not imagine not having one in the hanger.

You know when a plane is that good your scared that they will go out of production so you buy a spare, well that sums up the Avonds F15 for me . . . I wish I could afford a spare!

Anybody got a cheap airframe? I have a spare P80 on the shelf . . .

Scott.

It may not be 100% scale, but for looks, flying and ease of parts: the SM 1:6 F-16!!

Would be nice if they read the question.
What budget?
Best Scale jet ever possibly the CARF Mig29. But you say available parts, so maybe the CARF A-4 Skyhawk. These are top dollar, so all of BVM's scale models fly well and the F-100 would be close to the Mig-29 as the best scale appearance particularly in flight.
