"Quote"I could not find the past post but want to let every one know that St George is coming up next week end. I was talking to Bob Wilcox and he was not aware of it. They always have a nice event. I plan on being their from Thursday on. Hope to see many of you. Dan Avilla"Quote"
Dan it's here and I don't know what the turn out will be like but I am still going.
I think we should all bring extra planes for the noon time line up...

Anyone have any further info on runway dimensions, facilities, overnight storage, etc?
Dave
Dave New field is a paved runway 60 x 750 with 200 ft runoff at ends. You can not camp over night at the site. The hotels are not far away.
In the past they have all ways put on a first class event. You living only a hour and a half a way makes it easy compared to my 12 hour drive. Hope you make it. PS I added a flyer hope it works. Dan

If I done this correctly you should be able to see the field we have been talking about for the Dixie Jet Rally. Come on and have some fun in the Desert.

Dan, I am rolling up Thursday....really looking forward to it!
Question, will I be able to leave my box trailer at the field? Will there be people staying overnight for security?

Dave and everyone,
Trailers and planes can be left at the field. We will have security staying there at nites and as you get here you will see the two gates you come thru. They will be locked up at dark unless we are nite flying the foamies. Bring'em and fly'em.

RE: Dixie Jet Rally
Hey Guys! Just got home from the event. What a fantastic time! Was bitter sweet as Jake was not with me this time so I got to fly a bunch (22 flights total) but I missed having him around...
Anyway, what a great event and the new field is unbelievable! Dan and Kent...Thank you for all your hard work to provide a good time for all who came.
We had one total loss, a Bandit that got crossed up and turfed. Sad deal. The owner, Skeet, did not let this ruin his weekend and I want to personally thank him for all his help calling for me when I was looking to fly. His attitude was that of a seasoned pro and he never had one minute of "woe is me".... Thanks Skeet!
We also had a "young gun" in the making... Mr Carter Bahde... all of twelve years old! He was tearing up the sky with his turbinator and, as someone put it he is.... "The Future".... Keep an eye on this Kid!
Big ^5 to my wingman for the weekend Dave "Ozie" Evans. Back to back to back to back flying all day, both days.... Epic!
Dan Avilla and his P80 were there, what a joy to watch....
Scott with his BIG Victory Jet, just love that thing!
George Manning...."I'm calling you out, Navy boy!" :-)
Some Pictures....

RE: Dixie Jet Rally
I was only there for about three hours on Saturday, but here are some of the 400+ pics that I shot.
Edit: Removed the photos after seeing them posted in other places and not even given the credit for taking & editing them. In the future I wont be posting photos, or will at least put large watermarks on them.
