Kingtech K-140 F ARRIVES AND IS AIR BORN VIDEO ADDED
I just received my K-140F last Friday. Thank You Barry from www.kingtechusa.com for getting it out quickly. Here are a few pics of the 140 and its new home. A Skymaster F-15.
The K140 is Kero start and rated at 31 pounds of thrust. I can't wait to get this puppy in the air for some completely ridiculous vertical.

RE: Kingtech K-140 F ARRIVES AND IS AIR BORN VIDEO ADDED
Been flying one for a month now in a BARF with the 120 bypass and no issues. I originally tried to order a Propane version since the Kero version was so new to the market, Barry told me there were none available until the next shipment. He made me a deal on a kero version as I run Jet-A and he said they had never tested Jet-A on the kero version and if I would be the Guinea Pig... well that's between us. Anyways my first impressions were far exceeded. Packaging is top notch and it was here in 2 days. The hardware kit is very complete. First thing I noticed is the lack of the "maroon" anodize, it is just plain silver as seen the in the above pictures. It has yet to discolor. Being all Xicoy it is same UI as JC or Wren so nothing new to really learn. One great feature is on initial setup of the jet just pull both fuel lines and select "prime burner" and let the fuel flow into a cup and tap and beat on all your fittings to get all the air out of both systems at once. I am at 3000 feet so we always subtract about a 1lb thrust per 1000 feet and that seems to be a good rule year around except it is probably more now that it is 104 out. It made 29 pounds at 80 degrees on an uncalibrated postage scale for what it is worth so it sounds like it would meet or exceed it's advertised under standard day conditions.
Long story short no issues yet, just starts and runs, I don't even plug in the data terminal lately. As a side note the BARF had a P70 and going from that to the 140 sure put a soul in that jet. I am not really a speed freak as I try and respect most rules and no reason to prove you can blow up a BARF but being that you are making so much thrust in so little spool time sure makes the dirty full flaps to "space shuttle" transitions a blast. I gave up my smoke tank for fuel and now am going to swap it back as with the 140 you just don't use a lot of go stick. I will say when you do you better know your time limits.
Sounds like a biased opinion but the guys I fly with have seen me with P60's, 70's, JCentral's, and a Wren and I think instead of three main turbines in the States it might go to four if they stick around in this "great" economy. All Xicoy control system so we will see...

Let me know if you're going to fly this weekend. I'd like to see the 140 1st hand.

At this time I would rather not say, it just could be my fault.

Thank you so much for your patience, you've been a gentleman, your engine was sent out yesterday and you will enjoy this engine for many many service cycles.

Roger, no, not your fault at all. We tracked down the problem, bad solenoids. After swapping out some new valves, Dirk made a number of starts with no problems. For the trouble this has caused, we've made a credit of $150 towards your next turbine purchase, hope you get to use it.

It is nice to see a manufacture or the main dealer going public admitting something is wrong and it is not a failure of the costumer
as it is seen in the most cases.
Kingtech you my vote, and I'm very interested to know what about the K-220?
Best Regards

I ran the K140 yesterday.
She fired right up and the push was all I could do to hold the jet back.
Looking forward to the maiden flight Sunday
Mark we will be there about 10:00

Just got back from the maiden flights and WOW want a power house in the K-140F. Most of the flights today where at 1/2 throttle or just a few clicks below. Thank You Barry for getting this out to me. The 140 in the F-15 is an awesome combo and I am really looking forward to more flights on her.
Here are the links to the videos of the flights.
The Grey camo on the F-15 worked great for our cloudy overcast Ohio weather.

Ron, F model Kero start KingTech won't start on Diesel, so a K-140E is the way to go.
Ledd4U, 170s are readily available, let me know how I may help.
