f18
It seems like I vaguely recall the EZ f18 to be of a 45 sized airplane. If the parts wiegh less than 7 lbs assembled a hot 45 would fly it just fine. A Ys 61 would put it into low earth orbit.

It is for sure a 45 size plane. You might be able to get a 60 in it, but probably better off with a hot 45. Mine is on its way, if you can send me a self addressed stamped manila envelope with enough postage to get back to you, I can photocopy the manual and get it to you when I get mine.

Ez F-18 Hornet Info Needed
Hi,
I have an EZ hornet too.
Here are the datas taken from the manual
CG 225mm forward from the trailing edge of the wing
control throws:
ailerons +/- 10mm
elevator +/- 24mm
rudder 20mm left and right
flaperon mixing 6mm down
flap elevator mix 1mm up
These values are good althought a slightly forward CG is best.
The aircraft was designed around the OS 46SF, the 46FX won't fit the aluminium mounting plate because of the remote needle.
My only advice is to fit a fuel pump, I fly mine with the OS 46SFP.
and do not fly with the tail cones (engine will overheat).
Do not put a 61 as you will have to put too much lead in the nose.
Last thing KEEP throttle during the approach, reduce only when on the ground!!
You will be pleased with it!

Ignacio,
Sure I will not tell you that it is a monster of power but it flies realistically. Much like a D/F model.
It is a fairly small and light model , and it is not too fast as it is a bit draggy (the F-18 is a draggy aeroplane anyway).
For the ultimate performance I think that a 45 D/F engine used with a prop would be great.
Where did you get your kit , is it new or second hand??
I believe that it's not manufactured anymore, EZ's factory having burnt a few years ago??

RE: Ez F-18 Hornet Info Needed
I got the last one I know about and sold it to a good friend who has built and flown it. I think there is one still out in New York somewhere that someone bought on ebay two years ago but there aren't many left.
Sorry
