Wren Turboprop powered Fletcher FU24
Hi guys,
Just for something a little different...my 134" span scale Fletcher top dresser (crop duster) with a Wren 44 turboprop power plant.
Aircraft weighs 24.05kg's or in imperial speak around 54Lb! and flys incredibly well on the remarkable little Wren 44 turboprop unit, check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcrIO...eature=related
Radio is a JR12X 2.4Ghz with Spektrum powerbox, Powerbox 2800 batteries and a bunch of high torque Hitec digital servos. Homemade brake drum hubs fitted to "Cub" tyres. Prop is a 22" 3 blade Solo ground variable pitch set to 12" pitch.
Best part about this aircraft......NO RETRACTS
Cheers.....Rene

RE: Wren Turboprop powered Fletcher FU24
Thanks for the nice comments guys, wasn't sure if this was the right forum to post this in as being a turboprop some argue its not a jet...yeah right
I know there's been the odd thread on turboprop aircraft but they don't seem to be too prolific, I have a Foremost 150 (Kingtech 80), a Comp Flash (PST 1300) and a Strikemaster (PST1300) but this turboprop just gives me a chubby everytime I fire it up
