When your cruising at 50,000 feet at Mach 2 in a Multi Million Dollar F-106 strapped to your ass and you look down at the earth and say "Screw the WORLD" Col. Chuck Winter USAF (Ret.)

...when You fly 3 jet flights at a small airfield and on each flight have to ask over the radio the 100 % traffic to tell You whether they are on a landing of a touch-and go.
And when on a touch-and-go, make room for them in holding the jet in circles elsewhere.
TP.

When you climb into the pilots seat and say, self you don't want to be here and that you are tired of making rich axxholes happy ! You check your log book and find that you have nearly 6,000 of jet time alone, never mind the other thousands of hours in recip and other turbine equipment. That is when you really know that you are a ready to retire " Jet Pilot ".

I don't know about all the other idiots who call themselves "jet pilots", but I knew I was one just after my first turbine powered model took off and the wind carried the smell of jet exhaust back to my nostrils as my airplane climbed away faster than any ducted fan I had ever flown.
I was hooked!
