[X(]2013, i thought it would be coming out soon, think i will go with the royal pro 16 and maybe up grade at a later time
Not from Multiplex, but shops are already speculating on prices. Based on their history I don't expect to see the new tx in the shops before 2013.

They are not giving any details yet as to the exact spec of the software as it is not finalised [:-]
however if it is as good as it looks then I am sure we wont be disappointed
they will keep us updated
cheers

I'm not sure I like the shiny gloss black; it shows up fingerprints like mad. Even the demo one in the video looks a mess[&o] IMO it would be better if it was all matt black like the tray.

Bit like a touch screen iPhone, iPad, etc. then.....fingerprints all over them
Hopefully they have leapfrogged another 10 years ahead of the far east offerings, same as the 4k did when it was released.

I see quite a few guys on the German forum referring to that as well I like it but than that that does not mean very one else has to but hopefully they might have an option on that one I still think it is going to be a lot easy-er cleaned than the far eastern style TX 's are to me it is typical German like there new cars

Rob
I certainly hope that they are going to be ahead of the rest again the way they where when MC 4ooo came out but that is going to be hard one to follow as they all are well tuned in these days what ever happens Multiplex served me 100% for the last 28 years and can not see myself jump to another brand why change if it works

Hey somewhere to put your chocolate bars whilst your flying!
That radio looks awfully wide! On the film with english it does show the Tx with narrower sides for holding in the hands.
That shiny black finish is a big NO for me! apart from that looks good!

Very nice, finally something to succeed from my 4k, typical Teutonic engineered functionality and excellent value. That's got to be the longest battery life of any Tx. Roll on the UK release.

What is the 'Souffler' thing? The blurb mentions that it is a standalone voice relay for the telemetry system. However, one of these units is included in the 'premium' package. The TX has a headphone socket of its own so I can't work out why you would need the 'souffler' as well.

According to the German forums the headphone socket only plays beeps from the vario and telemetry warning points. Many of us saying that for a tx at this end of the range and price, speech has to be built in as standard, also saying that data logging has to be built into the tx as standard and not need an add on unit inside the model. On the details released so far by Multiplex, the tx is well below the spec needed to justify its price premium over the Royal Pro, and is not justifying its ''legend resurrected'' description.

OK, this has been my first chance to come on here since I got back from Germany this week. I have had a close look at the TX and handled it too. It will be better in the hands than the 4000 was since it has over and under sliders at the edges and sockets for switches on the edges of the case. The overall size is the same as the 4000 and for best comfort the integral strap hangers will be my choice, but you can just hand hold it. Overall weight will be 1.6 Kgs. The build quality is fantastic. Personally I love the shiny black finish, it has real class. You will just have to polish it that's all.
The styling is Mercedes Benz to me.[8D]
The software is work in progress. I and others will be doing some work with the software developers to get the software where we want it to be. So Multiplex are listening to what their customers are saying.
The set is totally software driven, so upgrades will be easily uploaded from the website, as has been the case with the Royal Evo and the Rx's.
The sticks are the best I have ever felt, even better than JR who have also got really excellent sticks. It does not look or feel tacky or toy town, like the latest Futaba set.
They will develop an inbuilt speech output device for the Profi Tx but the Souffleur (sure I had one of those for dinner the other night), will work with any M-Link telemetry Rx. So people like me who have several sets can use this with any. Some people have used the M-link Tx module and Rx's with a different brand of Tx, and they too can use this device.
It will take a while until it is actually in the shops, but then MPX are not known for sending out underdeveloped product. I was talking to the head of servicing the other day and he explained that since they launched M-Link they have had a returns rate close to zero.
The little round knobs on the top corners are to adjust mixer values in flight (quite safe to do so on MPX Tx's) . So if you need elevator compensation of flaps and gear, you can sort this out on one flight and it is done and dusted when you land.
Mine is ordered.
