F 14 tomcat plans
hi everyone,i would love to build a F 14 tomcat with the swing wing mechanism or the raptor F 22. can anyone please post a detailed plan of the fuselage and the wing construction along with the stabilizers. i want to build it completely with balsa without any foam core wings. this will be a college project so i have to follow the requirements and foam is not allowed. im an aerospace engg student in my final year of my degree.thank you

actually he won't tell you anything except to go to:

Problem is, the plans are extremely difficult to build from, and nearly impossible to cut out by hand without breaking many of the bulkheads. The design needs MANY upgrades and if intention is to be powered by turbines, its not possible in the 1/10 scale size b/c of the lack of interior structure for all the sweep mechanism and fuel tanks.
EDF would be possible, but some other issues will have to be over-come.
I wish ramz278 lots of luck, but honestly, even as an aerospace Eng. student, this is no way possible to be completed in only 1 year by a student (whom i'm assuming has typical college student funds), the tasks, funds and time needed to make this a viable and success full project are immensely huge.
I personally think an F-22 would be a better project as its simpler layout will provide a better outcome.

RE: F 14 tomcat plans
Just build the one from the Electric Jet Factory, proven air frame and looks very nice. A little smaller but still is a nice plane. I have thought about building one myself several times.

Hello again:
here you can see the construction of avonds F-14 model. Really not is an easy model, but it is very pretty and a dream model for built up. The perfect scale for this plans is 1:9 or 1:8, not 1:10, you have true is too much little for turbine.

I have the plans.
