Nice video. Good to see people enjoying low cost turbine flying in modest size planes.

Your Swist is nicely dialled in, though it looks like you could do with a bit more power!

John
As Martin develops the engines continuous I think we will se that in the future. In house multi op CNC and laser welding keeps the engines very well up to date Maybe I will try an Opus with two engines as it's got alot of space in the fuselage for dual electronics setups
Make sure you use some strong double sided tape to hold the turbine on if you are trying an opus

i have one of these kits, but it will be a standard prop.
do you also tape the back of the wing to the fuse? with the wing bolts so far forward the rear seems un-supported (?)
No tape just the screws, works well and I do very high G turns now

Upgrading the fuelpump at Martin Lamberts workshop the day before the meeting. It's really a tight fit and very hard to avoid kinking the fuel lines

I think we will se amazing things in the future

Testing the new pump at the airfield, the ECU needs to adapt to the new pump and first time throtteling up I got a flame out which made my friend jump like 2ft in to the air haha.

Yeah that's a cool wheel. Martin was talking about 500000rpm and 0.5lb thrust. The future rocks Indoor jets anyone??

I got 250cc(8.4oz) of fuel which is enough for ~4min powerd flight + 1min glideing aerobatics

A fiew passes, still not pushing it that much. Will be fun to test it with tighter turns and more full power time

Ok guys... I'm just back from an Airshow in Sweden. Fun talking to Svetlana Kapanina and seeing her, Jurgis Kairys and the mighty Saab Draken's amazing display flights...

Inspired by GregG's request... also Swedes are a bit curious I thought I might give the pitot another shot... and I got it to fit!

Well of to the field and starting the Swist up, I launched it and began flying my full throttle routine. Flying at this speeds the sound does strange things, lingeing up with the field the turbine died.... atleast I thought so, 2 seconds later the roar struck me and the Swist passed faster then ever!!! Incredible seeing and hearing a model plane doing the same sound phenomena as the real Draken does flying at higher speeds! Wow.

After landing a read out my How fast device and I was right... the Swist is faster then the Baiojet...

Another day with a total of 6 flights. I adjusted the Tx to a little bit more expo and now I can fly comfortable at highrates even at higher speeds. Practicing both 4 and 8 point rolls togeather with some low inverted passes. Ofcause not at full speed, but still probably 150mph-ish.

It's strange that my cellphone thinks the plane is yellow, the color is really orange dayglow. I'll dig out my Canon EOS and see what is thinks later

A little video of the Swist. I'm not used to landing on asphalt, so in preparation for jetpower I did some training runs at a local airfield. Low cealing this morning so no vertical manovers this time. The sharp turns are performed at half throttle which equals 1kg of thrust

I've also changed from Jet-A to diesel fuel which works perfect with the Kolibri engine.

Yellow is the new white Back from racing at Jetpower, all went well and the speaker said this was the fastest plane this year too. As always flying before a crowd I do not push the limits and you can hear I throttle back alot too, still pretty fast

I also figured landing long would give a good display of the model while walking back close to the net, however my last landing was about 50meters longer then I expected.

My caller did a bit of a video of the flight. Priority was on keeping me updated not videoing so a bit out of focus.

The airplane is out for sale, €3500 100% RTF
