Thanks Ron. A bit more detail over the first one you seen at Tams. Will be making him another one pretty soon though.
Yes. The whole retract simply falls in place. Wanted a simple installation. Setting up the steering before was always a fun job. I had to machine my own control horn for steering though. Bruce supplies an all thread that screws into the collet which I didn't like too much.

These pictures are from awhile back but thought I would post them to show more of the detail. Forgot a few rivets on the wheel fairings but an easy fix in the mold. Yes it will also have a refueling door on the wheel fairing as well. Wouldn't be scale without one haha.

VASA fans and a kit
Chris,
I have a pair of these VASA 120mm fans and I might as well have you put me on the list for your latest version A-10. I would like to get one of my fans in your hands so that you can make some inlets for them. PM me, and let me know what you would need. Thanks.
Jesse

Thanks Sam!
Kirk, unfortunately im not sure. I have been so swamped with my regular work its been hard to even get this finished up as much as i hate to say it. Ive barely been in the shop since December. Ive done all the decals and paint this last week. I will also be doing some weathering on it. Im finally seeing a clearing after this next week thank goodness. I also have some pre orders to fill and i apologize to those guys for the wait. The winter time is super busy down here in Florida nowadays. Late spring into summer time it gets a bit slow after the snow birds go back north. Have to take advantage of the work while its here. Not sure where your at on the building part but an experienced builder with a bit of time should be able to knock it out in a month with paint and all. For me it would be about a two week build with paint now that everything is dialed in. Definately cross the fingers, as far as im concerned anything is possible. Im hoping after this next week my tunnel vision will be back in the shop.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Jesse
See if this works. I have made molds for some inlets that fit these fans

That inlet should work on my fans. I measured the outside of the duct and they are 122 mm in diameter. Are the inlets necked down to a smaller diameter at the forward edge? Also, what do you suggest for a exhaust duct?
Thanks,
Jesse

Great!
Yes inlets have a slight neck down. I 3d printed some exhaust ducting. May use that for the time being or make some molds off of it. Whats the recommended outlet size for that fan?

Hey Chris,
The calculations look like a thrust tube that tapers from 120mm at the fan duct down to 100mm at the exit. I think that a lot of testing would be needed to determine the ideal thrust tube size, which is something I would do after putting the power packages together. I'm shooting for a compromise between performance, vs. scale looks. The engine nacelles of the A-10 are relatively short, and wouldn't allow for a longer, more efficient thrust tube.
