rud +- 38mm
ail +13, - 11mm
on "take off" mode
ele 3mm down (flaps-ele mix)
rud as above
ail as above
flaps 19mm down
and on "landing" mode
ele 9mm down (flap-ele mix)
rud as above
ail 5mm up (crow)
flaps 80mm down
i have also set triple rates

Sort of! Spent most of Saturday on the beach with my two daughters, but some grass trimming was done, yes.
Miltiadis
Looks about right other than Aileron, you want more down than up, so -13 +11 would be closer

Found this again recently, it was a while back, shows short landing on a grass field

RE: Landing Graupner Inspiration P100RX
Thanks Dave and B.S
I will remove the crow settings on landing mode, i will reduce the flap-ele mixing to 7mm down elevator on full flaps (80mm) and i will set the ailerons -13mm +11mm on all modes.
any recommendation for the CG? (now is set as per manual)
At mid and low rates, the throws of the controls seems to be very short...it will be maneuverable at this rates?

RE: Landing Graupner Inspiration P100RX
I rememberI sat the elevator and aileron like themanual.
After a couple of flightsI gave it less elevator.
I have planes with differentexpo settings but this one is 35% allchannels because itis a neutral plane.
I started to have the CG on 180-185 mmneutral but it was to light in nose and the front wheel was only pushing with 100 gram = nothing
I moved the CG for 170-175 mm neutral and if I remember correct there isnow about 300 gram on my front wheel.
Use the 170-175 mm for the CG andmydata aboutwheel pressure is onlyto give you an idea.
This plane with 170-175 mm CG is still neutral and without being nose heavy at all.

You will have no problem, its a fantastic plane...plus I will be there
This is actually my old plane (which was Roger Mellville's originally)...served two owners faultlessly..an excellent jet!! Im sure Miltiadis will enjoy it and he is a very capable pilot!!

Yesterday I maiden the inspiration. On the first flight i was a little nervous , i had to setup the airplane, so I didn't focused on the flight characteristic. The landing was acceptable but not perfect. On the second flight I felt more confident and I really enjoyed the inspiration. With the very effective flaps, it slowed the speed and it landed excellent. On the air is very sleek and it flies like an f3a.
Overall i am very happy with this airplane!

RE: Landing Graupner Inspiration P100RX
I agree with Dave get an Ultra Flash superb sports jet.
In my opinion the Inspiration is a flawed design too many negatives to keep it so I sold mine.
The anhedral tailplane is just too close to the gound and will scrape even on rotation if you if you are too heavy on the elevator.Unless you do a perfect cream of a landing every time you will scape the tailplane tips and if you do a mild bouncer you could damage it. I dont know why they designed the model that way seems pointless. Also whats the point in having retracts if the wheels do not retract completely into the wheel wells. With the Beotec retract set recommended for the model the main wheels hang down in the airstream by 6-8mm again pointless just very poor thought and design.
The models flys just fine but is a little small for me.Graupner have now discontinued this model so sales must have been poor.
The Ultra Flash does not suffer with those shortcomings, the tailplane being higher set and is protected by a underneath vertical strake.
I cant fault my UF it is even a ***** cat to land 10 out of 10 to Carf for this model.
Phil.

I am vere happy to be a owner of one myself.
Put velcro on the tailplane in each corner or use it on grass fields.
Then you can have fun all the time with this great airplane without scratches

RE: Landing Graupner Inspiration P100RX
Thanks guys
To be honest, i didn't have any problems with the tailplane be close to the ground. Maybe beacuse our runway is tarmac...
I really like the UF but the price is way to high...If i find a used one in a good price (like i did with inspiration), I will give it a try.
For now i have two jets to put hours on them, the Inspiration and a Jetlegend Hawk.

RE: Landing Graupner Inspiration P100RX
There are quite a few Inspirations flying here flying on grass and tarmac and have no problems. There is nothing wrong with the design, my own model was also sold on and has served the new owner well, lots and lots of flights. It was only the scheme chosen that reduced sales and possibly the limited choice of turbines that were available at that time.

I have now full control over my landings with the Inspiration.
IfI could buy 1 extra Inspiration for stockto put inthe basementitwould have been great.
I love this plane and my heart beat fastevery time I fly this rocket
My friendmade some movie on Youtube and sorry for bad quality but it is made with his mobile phone.
But it is possible to see the landings..
