Default Navigation light Specs for the MIg-29 OVT

Hello Everyone,
Can some one please tell me where I can find the the position of all the navigation lights on the Mig 29 OVT.
I have tried Google and numerous web sites, and just cant seem to hit the nail in the rite spot.
Its SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating.

Look on Airliners.net and search for a Mig 29 photo at dusk/dawn so you can see the color and position. There are plenty of videos on YouTube as well. Also buy a plastic model kit from Revel, Academy, Trumpeter, Italieri, Dragon or Hasegawa in 1/48 to 1/32 scale. There are many books as well and I shop at Brookhurst Hobbies in Southern California. They have the books and model kits there.

The info is out there just broaden your search.

There are some great mig-29 books available on amazon. I have 3-4 of them. You can even buy the flight manual.

I have been going through photos with the most frustration as I have come up with nothing.
Looked at a few night photos as well and gave come up with nothing.
Seeing a photo with a green and red light on a plane does not give me any detail.
For instance I already know where the Fin trailing edge strobe goes, landing lights, taxi lights, navigation lights on wings.
What I Don’t now is where the fin base position lights go.
Please I don’t want someone to tell me they go on the base of the fin as I already now this.
What I need to now is the exact place (positioning) goes and the shape of them also.
I thank you all so far for your input.

warbird tech volume 41 and Jane's, how to fly and fight in the mig-29 by jon lake have a ton of close up pics all over the airplane and several sets of four view drawings. I'm not sure what you mean by fin base position light. Give me more details, and maybe I can send you pics of the areas you are wondering about.

Hello DrScoles,
Thank you for your reply.
IM not to sure myself about the fin base position lights.
I have a detail for scale lighting kit for the Skymaster Mi-29 and it has lights to go on the base of the fin. It states that these are the positioning lights.
I did not even now that the Mig had these lights in the base of the fin.
I have the red and green sheet which im suppose to cut into the base of the fin and install the light and the screen. This will be a flush finish.
This is why I need to now the shape and position so when I cut the colored screen it will look as close to scale as possible.
I mite have to try and get hold of detail for scale about this info.

leading or trailing edge? the base of the leading edge is where the chaffe/flare dispensers are. I don't see anything on the front part of either fin. There is a light high up on the port fin only. The rest of the lumps and bumps are "comm link and IFF aerials."

Supposedly its got to go at the base of the trailing edge of the fin.
This is what it states in the written instructions.
Idid not now that the Mig had such lights in the base of the fin.
I will send Detail 4 scale an Email maybe he can explain to me what he means.
I agree with you DrScoles I to don’t see no Lights in the bottom of any of the fins.

I've got access to a couple of C model MiG-29s I can snap pics of if that would help. Please be very specific about what you need. I should have time tomorrow...
