Olá Enrique, thanks my friend, after a lot of years making planes together, now is the moment of walk alone, my dad not is here in person but always will be in my mind.

Come to Hotspot, yes, the shape is exactly, I ordered clear canopies that will be suitable for original models.

i will make the solutions for the problems that you always find in a typical Hotspot kit.

Sure the people will like the new ideas applied to this plane.

This week more pictures !!!
Regards from Spain

Sorry to hear about your dad, Carlos...

The new plug looks great, building in the gear Wells and speed brake tub will be a nice improvement!

A few pictures of my second one, been flying it for two summers now. Always was a favorite sport jet for me and it is still fun to fly.

Default Hotspot Canopy and base

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a canopy and base for my Graupner Hotspot RC jet plane. I bought this plane several years ago. I just realized it didn't come with a canopy. New or used, doesn't matter. Please advise.

Thank you
Shah

Reviving an old thread that MUST keep going!

Carlos, have you pulled any jets out of your own plug + mold with the larger hatch? Curious to see photos of the end product.

Here is the only link I know of for current production. (I think they're in production at least)

Air Classics - Hot Spot II
These don't appear to be the same kit, thus the HotSpot II, but the same overall shape with very minor changes to the exterior.

And here's another forum thread talking about it.

Default Found an original Golden West Models kit in the attic..

I am in the process of moving (after 24 years in the same house) and stumbled across a long-forgotten replacement kit for my original Hotspot, which ended its relatively short but eventful life after I had a flameout during a high AOA slow fight low pass at Best in the West in 2003 or 2004...and never built it.

Anyone interested? I'm reducing my inventory in anticipation of a cross-country move in a year or so, and won't be doing any (jet) flying at the new local field. It includes two canopies and the old wings/fins as well as the new ones - and two sets of padded wing and fin bags. I also have the original Robart retracts, JetPower wheels, and brakes (can't remember whose) which will need to be overhauled. I won't be using them so I'll throw them in.

PM me if interested - I'll need to pack them up in the next 2-3 weeks. Will be located in San Diego or in La Habra Hts area (on OC/LA border)... the fuse is really too big to ship, at lest not until after my move is done in mid/late December. PM me if interested.

Cheers -

Barry
