Hi Carlos

Yes it is painted and the same problem as usually with to much weight.
With P100 and 2 litrefuel the weight is10,4 kg.
It is 0,5 kg to much

Hi iiievolution

Thecolors are:
Grey metallic / Ford Moondust Metallic
Bluepurple / Honda B90P

Later this week I will add a picture of the plane taken with a real camera.
The purple color seems blue with a photo taken with my mobile phone.

Hi again:

Yes, this system run perfect, I fit the bank with 2 screws and you can easily remove it from. You can put the smoke pumb down too.

I am working in another Hotspot, I need make the bulkheads for can close it. The nylon hinge is installed in the process of laminate, the door is in carbon fiber.

Regards from Spain.

Tested balance with all components in their intended position and it seems like I can put pump, solenoids and ECU in the gear bay, so I can just send one fuel line, the throttle, the main power line and an extension for the GSU from the front to the back. I am a bit concerned that the components might get fouled up by the gears during a landing in grass or might be disturbed by strong airflow in flight. Am I thinking too much or would it be best to protect them a little?

Very easy out of the situation: you have to stall .
In the video (5'10'') I make the flat spin, I change the direction of rotation, I stabilized the model, pull up and pull down the elev stick. Obviously I have rudders.
The exit is facilitated by the position of the CG back.
This model is over 12 years old, hundreds of flight.
Last summer I given the model to my friend. He made other 20 hours of flight too. And he flight every week.... forever....

Ciao Damiano,
thanks for the tip, if I end up in the same situation again I'll try cutting the power and have faith
And yes, I should cut rudders some day.

Hi friends:

Really the Hot flown perfect and all components all well fixed, no problem with the LG. When you close the gears the hole is almost closed, and the wind not would be a problem, I think.
Now I not have any Hotspot in flight. I will built another and I will install in the same way.
If never give me problems, not will give me now.

I remember that I used Ni-Cd bateries.

Hi
here is a couple of Hotspots ive had in over the years. Looking to buy another one in a few months, can't seem to stay away from them.

Custom paint scheme was my first ever turbine jet that i cut my teeth on.

Red Bull scheme i got rid of only last year after buying a second hand airframe and re-doing it.

Hello

Your custom paint hotspot in the first picture is in Cyprus alive and well. A friend of mine has it.

It's nice to know it's still flying. Goes to show how good of a model they are.

Keep the pics coming guys. I'm building a YA Stingray which is a very similar plan form and am getting a lot of good ideas from this thread.

Lots of real purdy planes so far.

Here's my Hotspot with a P-80 for power. Paint scheme is my last can of SuperPoxy metallic red directly over the white gelcote.

Had a lot of fun flying it but it didn't fly quite right until I put some down-thrust in the engine mount, then it grooved fine.

When I was investigating the stall characteristics, somehow I got into the flat spin more, very slow rotations. Recovery was with full power and a bit of down. very scary if you're not expecting it to happen.

And shipping is reasonable. I got one from Carlos, and I think it was only $28 for shipping to the USA. (PA)

Finally maidened mine on turbine power after flying it on EDF for a year.
Everything went well, until I engaged the brakes, then a wheel flew off
Sick of these eurokit retracts, I really need to bother and get something better.
Friend of mine is selling a set of behotec C36, maybe these would be better...
What is everybody using? Any decent set out there which fits the hotspot?
