Been flying this one since 2001. Built and painted by Tad Krznowski of Goldenwest Models in California to look exactly like the original Jet Team Liebetrau model.

Interesting this thread pops up. I was traveling throught Atlanta and saw the sign below, so I did.....Flew my 11 yr old hot spot and really enjoyed it.

I use to have 25 lbs thrust on it and it was fast, now it has 19 lbs thrust in a Super Sport and all the turbine gear is under the engine in the back to get the CG correct. Very light and very fun to fly. Can land it in about 75 Ft.

After 12 years of flying my hotspot, I finally broke the wood for the main gear mounting. Not bad, just splintered a bit on one side. Question is, does anyone know what this piece looks like? I really do not not want to cut out a hatch around this area to do the repair.

I have already looked through this thread and others to see if anyone had a pciture or info on the main landing gear mounting plate but found nothing.

Has anyone repaired their main plates?

Hey Gary,
When mine had an off strip flame out and crash, the exterior of the plane got burnt a bit but the internal structure is still next to perfect. I can take all the photos, tracings, and measurements if needed. I kept is just in case...

Guys I have getting a nearly un started kit, the guy has cut out the main retract wells for Eurokit retracts, i am going to junk then and get a set of Robarts. I have seen 2 sets one is supposed to be a direct drop in replacement 630-HOTSPOT and the other set are for the Eurosport 635EURO. The Euro set are a different retract unit and have a thicker Strut, I can get the Euro set with a 90 degree nose unit. Just wanted to know if anyone has used either set in a Hotspot and with what results.

Mine has the regular Robart legs. They always seemed fine.

FYI... I'm thinking about selling my HotSpot. It's a little "Hotter" than I like to fly. If anyone is interested... PM me.

Here's what she looks like right now.
