Hello
I still have mine. Just finished an overhaul so that it can live another 10 years
It had a P-120 in its early days and for the past six years a P-160. It has been clocked at 555 km\h. That was its record but it's a regular at around 480 km\h. It can also fly quite slow with a high alfa. Mine is pictured on my avatar. It is still my favourite RC airplane of all times, prop or jet and the most pleasant and smooth to fly. I am thinking of buying another one.

Mine will be flying for when the weather warms up. It needs a little love, and I just got that canopy from you for it.
Originally, I was going to put a JC Falcon in it for power... But now... I'm thinking I want a little more. I'll probably look for a used P-120 for it.
I don't have any pics of it right now... but I found a pic of it from 2002, with it's original owner.

My original Hotspot is still flying, I built it in 2000.
I just bought another, so I can have some vintage jet flying :-) Maybe a P-180RX

Hello
No, not a typo. The 555 was recorded at an open day we had at our international airport on new years eve a few years back. 555.3 to be exact. Even I was a surprised by that. There were many people there to witness that, some are on here too like Chris and Jim. The 480 km\h is what I would get on an average flight without pushing too much.
NOTE even though we do not have speed restriction here, all this is done with great care and safety in mind. I used to fly from a remote disused airbase and on salt flats.

I wish the hotspot was still being kitted. I always wanted one, had a kit once but foolishly sold it

It is still being kitted.
I picked up a kit at this years Jetpower.
It is sold now by Thorsten Klaus from airtech-jetteam, he took over the original Liebetrau molds. [link=http://www.air-tech.info/html/frame.html]http://www.air-tech.info/html/frame.html[/link]

How times have changed! at one time a vintage model stank of ether or had rubber bands in it driving a propeller which looked like one from a ship.
Now we talk about 'vintage' and 'turbine' in the same sentence.

I have used a lot of hours to find a good solution for the airbrake..
