converting air to electric retracts.
If anyone would like information on converting airretractsto electric i'm happy to post my research of the last few months on the topic. I've been building a Mick Reeves English electric Lightning and wanted a much tighterretractto fit snug in the wing. I've used ascrewjack system, very easy engineering to convert and have used an Arduino uno micro controller with a arduino motor shield to operate the gear doors, sequencing and retract motors. I'm new toRCUniverse and this forum but would be happy to share for the benefit of all.

Hi mustang493,
I would appreciate if you could share with us all the information u have about this topic, including schematics and diagrams. Cause electrifying all theaircraft systems seems to be the most reliable alternative nowadays.

Marc at GBR-JET sells a ready to go electric retract controller with sequencing for servo driven doors and electric brake control, it is very user configurable with programmable cutoff, door end points and door speed, plus other features and has been used by other people who have converted their gear themselves.

RE: converting air to electric retracts.
I don't know if Robart gear is used in the UK, but I just bought a conversion kit from them for my Robart 630 retracts that I'll use in my new Boomerang Sprint. I installed the new actuators (took about an hour) and bench tested them. Not flown yet.
