I built a tray and moved my servos further back, so I could use a shorter and more direct linkage. I put my tank on the CG. Bill H. lost his due to flutter and the same with mine. I was flying straight and level about 2/3 throttle when my wing came apart. Good luck. I really did like the airplane and would like to get the 66% from Germany.

Hi Warpsflyer,

Thanks for the reply and sorry to hear you lost your BD5. Can I ask did you have the thicker wing tubes and the new style wooden dowels in the control surfaces with 4mm control arms or the old style G4 board for control arms.

Did you manage to find out the what caused the wing to come apart or the cause of the flutter??

thanks Peter

I had the new style with the dowels, but the wing tube did not break until the flutter started. You can tell by the picture it's the right wing that came apart. The gear are garbage also.

That sucks big time , I'm a little worried now especially since its happened more than once. Might have to strip and glass the wings to give more strength.

Test flew the BD5 on the weekend and all went well. I have changed my hinge pins from carbon to brass and mass balanced the ailerons so hopefully no flutter issues in the future.

Yes, based on advice on the forum and from Bill I am using a Demon Cortex Pro. Only really needs it for take off or a quick application of power, no other trim changes during flight.
