Default How many JL/GJC BAE/T-45's are flying

Just curious how many are still flying or building the Jet Legend (GJC) T-45's or BAE Hawks. I'm working away on modifying one. The T45 Hawk bible (thread) here on RCU is no longer active.

I had 135 flights on my first one until I made a bad mistake during one manueuver. My mistake. If you set this airplane up correctly you will have many fun hours of flight time. Like any other jet/model aircraft, if you maintain it correclty and treat it with respect, it will last forever. Does not need to be overpowered. I flew mine with a P70 and it was quite scale, in fact won a number of Scalemasters qualifiers and one open class championship.

I am working on a second with some scale modifications. I will not make any changes to the airframe as the design works well. Set the CG at 140-145 mm from leading edge at center section. Don't use too much flap and use the speed brakes. As I said, don't overpower, it does not need it and only adds weight and drinks more fuel.

Good luck and have fun. Ask any questions and I will try to answer them honestly.

Thanks guys! I will be using JR8711 servos on the tail and flaps. Right now I have one servo setup on the tail with the upgraded arms instead of the ujoint. I'm thinking (after watching the F-14 vid) maybe I should be running two, one for each side?

I too have a P70 kero start for mine.
