Default Skymaster 1:7.75 A-10 - Anyone building or flying it?

I am thinking about the skymaster 1:7.75 (the smaller one) but I have not been able to find much info on how they fly and build compared to the larger version. Any insight or experience with the plane would be great.

Thanks

Dave

I thought Ron had the big one? What scheme did he get. I emailed skymaster and they are saying 8 to 10 weeks for delivery.

I have one that I am flying with 2 TJ Dynamax conversions, each with 12S (2 6s 5300 for each fan). I have converted the gears to electric (down and locked). The quality of the kit is great and she flys like a dream. Weight with batteries is 32 lbs. Attached is a picture of it flying at the Big Apple Jet Rally.

You can get the 1/7 scale ordinance from Dan at DFS. He has created molds of all of the ordinance for this jet. Attached is a picture of the ones he did for me. There are also more not pictured. Hope this helps.

I recently finished one and have installed a pair of Wren 44 Gold 10 pounders. All up weight less fuel is 31.8 pounds. I have installed the dummy turbo fans. On the first flight, it took all of the up trim to get it to fly level. I have it balanced at the forward most CG location.
You thoughts:

At what position do your elevators sit at neutral?
Can this model be flown with a more rearward CG?
Do you think the dummy fans create enough drag that result in a nose down attitude, therefore the up trim is required?

Best regards

Whatever happened to Ron's A-10 with the Wrens? Did she get trimmed out nice and fly well? I imagine at 22 pounds of thrust all up and 32 pounds of weight she would fly very nice! This is an old thread however... So... updates?
