Help save Buttonwillow Airport for model aviation use

As some of you may know, Buttonwillow Airport has been shut-down for RC use. The BARKs club have been working incredibly hard to speak with the county and have the airfield open. An online petition was created to get signatures to show support for the field to remain open. Please take a moment of your time to sign the petition. It's fast and the online signatures will go directly to the Kern County board of supervisors. Buttonwillow Airport is home to Best in the West, which is allowed to happen this year, but who knows about next year. Buttonwillow was the only jet friendly field for a lot of guys in California. It would be incredible to show your support, regardless of where you live. Thanks in advance.

The way it's been explained to me that the Agency behind the restriction is Caltrans. They give grant money to the County for Airport Maintenance. Typical California Governmental Agency they want to restrict and control guys like us that they don't understand.
Caltrans? C'mon Caltrans let the taxpayers (and us jet guys pay lots of California taxes.) have their fun.
Here's the address for the snail mail if you don't have it. Send the Letter !!!
Kern County Board of Supervisors
c/o The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors
