Go team Italy !!!!
I have just seen a score sheet from the current WJM thats a real surprise.
The fact that Gianluca DeMarchi is beating the Yak 130in the flying rounds is not the surprise. It's more the fact that his Fiat G91 has beaten the Yak in Static is what took me aback. Great to see that the mighty Yak is well and truly beatable. Especially by a small team of true aero modellers, with no pre event internet media hype and nonsense. Well done guys and keep it up. I wish you the best for the following rounds. There I was thinking that the WJM had turned into an event that was outside of the grasp of normal model folk , and that the backing of a factory supported team was required to win it.. I take it all back.
Regards Al

I was only sent the scores for the over 20 kg class. Well done Frederico. Looks like Italy are lining up to have a very successful WJM. Well done to all the team, and good luck over the next few days.

Said it since I saw it, Italy was the team to beat this year. Yak 130 is more of the same, with an upgade here and there.

Well said Ali exactly my way of thinking It is nice that it is not turning into a million dollar game where the ordinary modeler has not got a chance not saying that it was not a great achievement on Vitaly's part but just not there if so why don't they do a so called expert class
just my thoughts
cheers

Is it not a bit odd that, despite all the incredible refinements and improvements to the Yak since the 2012 JWM, it actually ended up with a lower static score than it achieved last year? Does that mean that Vitaly would have been better off submitting last year's model rather than doing all that extra work?
I don't know much about scale modelling, but if that was me I would be incredibly miffed.

I have been following the JWM on Facebook, the Fiat G91 is just as spectacular on the inside as it is on the outside, superb! i hope we get to see it at Jetpower. An unusual subject, modelled with exceptional skill. From what i saw of his flying at Jetpower last year, he is quite a handy pilot.
