Default Finally, Building Season,Jet Weathering Stains

This jet newbie is going to need some help. Not only have I taken on my first set of scale gear doors, I'm going to be focused on weathering an F9F-2 Panther. Somewhere along the Internet I came across a tutorial or images for typical weathering stains/patterns visible on a jet aircraft. Can anyone offer some links/experience/advice on this?

Many thanks

Hello, (insert your name),

If you decide on an F9F-2 (shorter fuselage, rounded vertical tail version) in the gloss Navy blue, you'll find the weathering is different for gloss airplanes compared to flat painted airplanes.

Your best bet is photos. Start with a perfect factory finish and add effects slowly.

I know that there are a few threads/web sites out there, but this is one that I came across a short while back: http://www.tompierce.net/190/html/paint/weather.htm

I saw another that is prolly more like you're looking for, but I couldn'y readily find it.
